Tubular Drag Conveyor with Cage Dump Station

Tubular Drag Waste Bedding Conveying System

  • Drop forged, carbon steel rivetless, 4" pitch chain.  Assembled complete with 3 3/4" diameter two-piece replaceable polyethylene flights on 8" centers.  Chain designed to start and stop under full load.
  • Automatic chain tensioner, air over hydraulic with "end of travel" indicator.  Includes cylinder, clevis, panel, air compressor (when required) and fittings to plumb and operate the system.
  • 4" standard schedule #40 conveyor mild steel casing.  Complete with gaskets and round mating male/female flanges, at ends.
  • Drive box, all-welded, fabricated of formed carbon steel, complete with inlet and outlet tubes and flight guides.
  • Driveplate assembly consisting of  a carbon steel drive plate with high efficiency, righ-angle cycloid input, bevel gear reducer, driven by a 230/460/575v/3ph/60hz TEFC, wash-down, NEMA C-face electric motor.
  • 180 degree idler box (as needed), including bearings and idler sprocket, fabricated of mild steel.
  • Flanged inlet, fabricated of mild steel.
  • Inspection openings for chain installation and inspection, stainless steel construction.
  • Unbalanced load type vibrator with 1/3 hp, 230/460/575v/3ph/60hz TEBB, wash-down electric motor.  Complete with mild steel hammer assembly, mounted at discharge.
  • Scraper flights fabricated of mild steel, to scrape the pipe interior clean.
  • Washdown components.  Fittings for placement into convey line to clean chain after run.
  • Electrical controls.  Fixed speed, reversing, control panel to operate and protect the conveyor drive.  Includes the necessary transformers, motor starters, electronic shear pin, fused disconnect, and "on/off" push buttons.

  • Series #35 stainless steel pin (centre flighted) chain with neoprene washers.  Assembly complete with 3 3/4" diameter # 1900 U.H.M.W polyethylene flights.  Chain designed to start and stop under full load.
  • Automatic chain tensioner, air over hydraulic with "end of travel" indicator.  The include cylinder, clevis, panel, air compressor (when required) and fittings to plumb and operate the system.
  • 4" standard schedule #40 conveyor stainless steel casing.  Complete with gaskets and round mating male/female flanges at ends.
  • Drive box, all-welded, fabricated of formed carbon steel, complete with inlet and outlet tubes and flight guides.

  • Self-cleaning discharge gate, air operated with flanged bottoms, stainless steel construction.  Complete with connections for air-purge discharge.
  • Electrical controls.  Fixed speed, reversing, control panel to operate and protect the conveyor drive.  Includes necessary transformers, motor, starters, electronic shear pin, fused disconnect, and "on/off" push buttons.

To be arranged in a NEMA 4 enclosure

 

Cage Dump Station

  • Receiving hopper assembly of #304 stainless steel wash-down construction.  Sized to interface with the tunnel washer (by others).  Complete with adjustable support assembly and vibrator mounting pad.
  • Dump station gravity roller conveyor manufactured in #304 stainless steel and mounted in hopper.  The roller conveyor will interface with the tunnel washer.
  • Clean air hood, complete with 99.99% efficiency water resistant HEPA filter and carbon filter.  Includes protective filter grill and airflow control valve.  Stainless steel wrap to mate with hopper.

Optional Equipment

  • Powered roller conveyor section mounted in place of gravity roller conveyor section to interface with the washer conveyor.
  • Electric vibrator mounted to exterior sloped wall of the hopper.  115v with "on/off" switch.

Technical Details

  • Bulk bag unloader frame fabricated of carbon steel.  Frame is constructed of 3" square. 7 gauge tubing and has a 4,000 pound bag capacity.  Includes hoist type bag adapter, fixed height frame, and bottom mounting pads.  Estimated overall height to be approximately 139".
  • Manual chain hoist designed for low headroom applications.  Hoist to be rated for one (1) ton and have a manual push trolley.  Hoist has 10' lift height utilizing grade 100 heat-treated manganese alloy chain.
  • Special hopper with bag splitting blades to be fabricated of stainless steel.  Hopper to have a "probe box" to accept the wand from the mini vac.  A neoprene bladder will be across the top of the hopper to assist in dust containment.
  • All external carbon steel surfaces will be painted with white enamel paint.  Guards will be safety yellow.

 

Clean Bedding Fill Station

Feed Hopper

  • 6 cubic foot capacity.
  • #14 gauge, 304 stainless steel construction, welded inside and out.  Standard 2b finish inside, glass bead blasted exterior.  Removable top cover in matching construction.  Hinged access door with toggle latch and safety interlock.  Level sensor provides refill signal for refill equipment.  Rotating pin-style bridge-breaker maintains uninterrupted material flow to feeder.

PosiPortion (tm) Feeder, model 241-cv

  • Fully fixtured carbon steel tube frame construction with durable, white powder coated finish.
  • Flexible polyurethane hopper facilities external sidewall agitation from opposing mechanical paddles that are slave driven from the feed screw drive.  Agitation assures continuous, efficient flow of material into the feed screw.
  • Integrally molded hopper boot projects from the frame 1 /13" to provide a simple means of attaching T-nozzle.
  • The feed screw weldment is constructed of 304 stainless steel helicoid flighting made from 5/64" flat wire.  It is formed to a nominal outside diameter of 2 1/4" with a standard pitch and stitch welded to a 1 1/8" center shaft

Support Frame Assembly

  • Heavy duty structural steel channel and angle iron construction.
  • Filling shelf constructed of formed 304 stainless steel.
  • Feeder bolts securely to top of frame.
  • Carbon steel surfaces are coated with white machine enamel.

Volumetric Batch Controls

  • Single variable frequency drive module to adjust the feed rate of the dosing screw and mechanically slave driven agitator.
  • Door mounted HOA selector with Accu-dial 10-turn potentiometer for auger speed control.
  • Din Rail mounted timer for batch control.
  • Pushbutton start initiates batch discharge.
  • 115v/1ph input, 460v/30ph output to gearmotor.
  • NEMA 12 enclosure with disconnect, short circuit protection and terminal strip.
  • Enclosure shipped loose for convenient field locating and mounting.
  • Wiring and conduit from drive enclosure to feeder by others.
